~The Winds of Change Are Howling~
I've loved all my pets, of course, but I have a special bond with my little kitty Tiki. I adopted her from someone who'd rescued her from a shelter, and she didn't have good prospects because she wasn't that traditionally "cute" at first glance, was scared and shy, and sometimes gave a bitey (still does, but I don't mind). She seems to "love" me in her kitty way, talking to me all the time, following me around, and coming when I call her. When she's inside she likes to stay close, and she doesn't go out that much anymore. She's dark and has a slight odor of burnt toast, which I find absolutely endearing. Tiki's not a lap cat and doesn't like to be held for very long, but she will mrow at me to play and touch. She's such a sweetie!
Girl you KNOW all about me and my pets. I have had so many and saved so many. ALL of them I keep near and dear in my heart. The ones that have truely stolen my heart was Stan Da Man, Bandit, Winston, and now this new dog were saving called Mitzie. I will be posting pix of her soon. shes a Dalmation and I'm in LOVE!All the cats I have in my life I love and would die if anything happened to them. There all rescues and I'm so happy to have saved them and only WISH I could save them ALL!
I had two Rottweilers, both of whom died last year within two months of each other. I was more useless than tits on a turtle when they died. I miss them dearly.
Miz UV, my love is for cats too. I've had some almost feral ones so when they do give you love, they mean it and you have to appreciate it. My cat Pooka took off for some NYC trollop and has been gone for more than a year now. I still miss him enough to think about him and post the video, ya know?
Skillz, yes you are exemplary in your work with animals. If there was an award for efforts I would give it to you. I know you've got mad love for these animals, many of who have been abused. I also know it breaks your heart when you have to allow someone else to adopt them. It tears you apart. I can tell. God has a place in heaven for your kind, close to himself.
Jonathan, the last dogs I had were Rotts. They were loved beyond words and I am sorry for your loss. Two in two months, that had to be very hard. Isn't it funny how Rotties can be so gruff and yet so loving? My last Rottie suffered from Epilepsy. It was really harsh. I miss him too.
